NextGen Ministry

Helping Kids Grow in Faith,

At Mesa Kids, we believe children are more than just the church of the future; they are the church of today. Every week, our staff and volunteer leaders pour into the next generation, helping kids understand God’s love, their identity in Christ, and how faith connects to real life. Mesa Kids meets alongside our Sunday morning services, during special events throughout the year, and through digital content so kids and families can grow together.

Check-in & Safety

At Mesa Church, we are committed to creating safe and secure environments where children can play, learn, pray, and worship. Upon arrival, each child is checked in at a secure station. Parents/guardians receive a secure pick-up tag or code to use when picking up their child. We also have hired security on-site every Sunday at Mesa Church and at family events throughout the year.

Welcoming Environment

From the moment you walk in, a friendly, background-screened, and vetted volunteer will help you get your child settled. Our Mesa Kids environments and classrooms are clean, safe, and set up to facilitate learning. Our rooms can accommodate both smaller and larger groups, while keeping children engaged in age-appropriate curriculum and activities. Our leaders are trained to see "the one" and are committed to ensuring welcoming, caring, and nurturing spaces for children at every level.

Age-appropriate Curriculum

Age-appropriate Curriculum

At Mesa Kids, every activity and event is designed to teach Biblical truths in language kids understand. Our goal is to partner with parents by providing content and resources that help their child know and love God and His Word. Our lessons are interactive, hands-on, and participatory in nature. Many of our volunteer teachers and classroom leaders are currently, or have been public school teachers or aides.

Parent Communication

We work hard to keep parents and families informed and up to date on the latest events and activities at Mesa Church. We have many amazing opportunities for our Mesa Kids throughout the year. Be sure to sign up for our mailing list to receive our weekly parent email.

Volunteer Standards

All Mesa Kids volunteers go through extensive training, including a 2-hour mandated reporter training required by the state of California. We also conduct federal-level background checks on all our volunteer applicants before they serve regularly in this ministry. We recruit and train volunteer leaders who know how to encourage, inspire, instruct, and nurture kids in a healthy and fun environment.
