Mesa Spiritual Formation Small Groups

At the Table Prayer

We meet every morning of the week to bring our prayer requests before the Lord. We pray for one another as well as anyone in the congregation who is in need. We spend precious time each week praying for our families, missionaries, and our prodigals as well.

Each morning, we walk through the Bible Project Reading Plan and share our insights. You are welcome to join us one day a week or all seven! Anyone is welcome to join us at God's table! We will send you the Zoom link upon registration.

Exploring the Bible

We are studying the Book of Isaiah. We will be resuming the study with Chapter 23. The study will include a historical setting as we discover Isaiah’s world and time. We hope to cover one chapter a week with some leeway. It is a fascinating account of God’s chosen people, the struggles of the times, and the future hope for the nations.

The study notes will be handed out, so anyone can easily catch up if you did not attend last season. We begin with worship, the lesson and then finish our time with lunch and praying for one another’s needs.

Pack your own lunch and join us - all ages are welcome!

Focus Bible Study

This is a Bible Study group which focuses on Spiritual Formation. Joe Dallas is teaching through the prison epistles continuing in the book of Philippians. Renee Dallas is continuing to teach through the the Gospel of Luke, and Mark Cummings leads in a topical study about every six weeks.

The group has a teaching and discussion format and includes a time of prayer and sharing. It is open to anyone in any age group that wants to grow spiritually and develop friendships. We believe that the Word of God inspires us to hope and life and growth so we work through our understanding of it in relationships, discussion, and practical ways. We hope to aspire and inspire! The group meets year-round and is open to new people at any time. We look forward to meeting you!

Grasping God's Word

While Paul commanded all of us to “accurately handle the word of truth,” he did not give us instructions on how to do this. So, 2,000 years later, let’s get at it with the help of Duvall‘s book "Grasping God’s Word." We are meeting in a fun, interactive environment and look forward to you joining us. Who are we? Eclectic and caring enough to challenge each other to grow. All are welcome, as is said, there is always room at the table!

Growing Together

We are in a study entitled, "The New Testament in its World", by N. T. Wright and Michael F. Bird. It is an introduction to the history, literature, and theology of the first Christians. It is a challenging study, but along with the reading and discussion, we also watch the weekly video that goes along with the lesson. The book consists of 37 chapters, with beautiful illustrations and maps. There is also a workbook along side that we are using. All are welcome to join us!

Walking through the Book of Romans

We will be following along with Pastor Keith's series in the book of Romans: The Problem and the Promise. Come join us as we process this "meaty" book that helps us to understand as Paul addresses all kinds of issues with the Roman church in the 1st Century. So many relevant, doctrinal and applicable biblical principles for us today! Get ready for a lot of "aha" moments!

This is an in-person and Zoom group. (A Zoom link will be sent to you once you sign up.)
